Educational Assistant wanted
Tucker Maxon School in SE Portland is looking for an energetic, creative, and positive
Educational Assistant to start August 29, 2022 in our preschool program. This is a floating
position. Duties involve working alongside classroom teachers, safety cleaning duties, and
supervising children during classroom activities, and recreational time. This position also
supervises children during the after school childcare program (age range 3 – 11). Position hours
are school days Monday – Friday 9:00 – 5:30 pm, maybe 4:30 pm next year.
Requirements for all:
o Prior experience strongly preferred
o Bachelors of Arts or Science preferred
o Must enjoy working with young children
o Available to work during all required hours
o Enrolled in the Oregon Criminal Registry program*
o First Aid/CPR certified**
o Oregon Food Handlers Card**
* must currently have or be eligible to obtain immediately
** must currently have or obtain by an agreed date
Compensation: $17.00 per hour
