Lisa is thrilled to join the Tucker Maxon community! She is a passionate science educator with a background in outdoor education, preschool, elementary, and children’s drama and art. She holds a Bachelor’s in Environmental Science from Willamette University and is in process of pursuing a Masters in Teaching. Lisa loves promoting students’ natural curiosity and encouraging their exploration of the world through a scientific lens. Lisa enjoys guiding students in the pursuit of answers to their own questions, and sees science education as more about the journey of investigation than the finding of the “right” answers. Above all, Lisa loves learning, and hopes to inspire her students to become lifelong learners and scientific thinkers. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, baking, riding her bike, and singing to her wife Meira and her cat, Sir Lancelot.
