Nicole recently relocated to Portland for graduate school at the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health to pursue her Master’s of Public Health concentrated in Health Management and Policy, where she is studying to become an advocate for equal access to healthcare and communication services for all underrepresented and underserved populations. She earned her B.A. in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology and Spanish, and has one year of training in Communication Sciences – Speech Language Pathology.
Nicole is a bilateral cochlear implant user who received auditory-verbal therapy during her childhood. She spent much of her childhood advocating for herself and improved classroom acoustics, at both school board meetings and even in front of the U.S. Congress. She joined the Tucker Maxon family in hopes of serving as a role model to her students.
Nicole spends her weekends in the mountains, at the coast or visiting another one of the National Parks. She enjoys running, camping, hiking, biking and CrossFit. Every weekend is a new adventure!
