Tucker Maxon School in SE Portland is looking for energetic, creative, and positive individuals
for floating and classroom Educational Assistant positions in our preschool and Extended Care
programs for the 2024-25 school year. Duties involve working alongside classroom teachers,
safety cleaning duties, and supervising children during classroom activities, and recreational time
(ages 3-6). This position also supervises children during the after school childcare program (age
range 3-12). Position hours are school days Monday – Friday, with varying shifts between the
hours of 7:30-5:30pm.
o Prior experience with children required
o Bachelors of Arts or Science preferred
o Must enjoy working with young children
o Available to work during all required hours
o Enrolled in the Oregon Criminal Registry program*
o First Aid/CPR certified**
o Oregon Food Handlers Card**
*must currently have or be eligible to obtain immediately
** must currently have or obtain by an agreed date
Compensation: $21.68 per hour for the 2024-25 school year.
