Ben Wacker joined the Tucker Maxon Board of Directors in January 2019.  Ben is the lead actuary in Individual Annuities Division of The Standard Insurance Company.  Ben is responsible for product development, pricing, rate setting, corporate modeling applications, financial planning, financial reporting, and operational reporting.  Ben spent nearly a decade in Bermuda at various insurance companies (Northstar Financial, Athene Life Re, and Ability Reinsurance) after having started his career in Des Moines, IA with Principal Financial Group.  Ben graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a degree in both Actuarial Science and Finance, Investments and Banking. Ben has also co-founded an own study materials business for aspiring actuaries. Ben and his wife are the proud parents of two beautiful girls and they try their best to take advantage of the Pacific Northwest’s outdoor activities.
