McKenzie (she/her) was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin but raised here in Portland. After more than a decade working in environmental education around the country, she eventually found her way back home and a second career in nonprofit development. McKenzie’s B.A. in Environmental Humanities is from Sterling College (Craftsbury Common, Vermont) and her M.A. E.d. in Environmental Education is from Prescott College (Prescott, Arizona). She is always excited about children’s books, tarot cards, and other people’s pets and houseplants.
