Patty joined the Tucker-Maxon family when her youngest daughter (then 3 years old) was in preschool at Childswork (who partnered with us for many years). The long standing joke in her family is that Katie graduated but Patty is still there, sorting crayons.

Over the past 25 years, she has had lots of learning opportunities: as an EA in both preschool and elementary divisions, tutoring hearing impaired students, teaching summer programs and preschool classes, managing the library and directing the Extended Care program. Most recently she has transitioned into the office, working primarily with students and their families (now those students include two of her own grandchildren).

When not at school, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Tom and their family. Their 3 grown children all have families of their own and live close by, so the moments of quiet are rare. She is an avid Blazer fan, goes whitewater rafting in the summer and then to Mexico each winter for a warm and wonderful family reunion.

She finds that there is truly no end to learning and she enjoys the new challenges that life brings.
