Tucker Maxon School is seeking a fulltime development assistant to start in January 2022. We are looking for a skilled and professional individual to be part of our team. This position is non-exempt and reports to the Executive Director.

Roles and Responsibilities.

Donor Relations

  • Maintain donor databases, including Donor Perfect and SchoolAuction.net.
    • Record all donations and reconcile routinely with our Finance Director.
    • Promptly acknowledge all gifts and donations with thank you letter.
    • Create and maintain mailing/email lists.
    • Help manage fundraising events such as annual auction, raffle and various sales.
    • Maintain our auction database to track donations, sales and guests.
    • Maintain alumni database.
    • Maintain current email distribution lists in MailChimp
    • Assist with relationship development with local businesses, funders and sponsors.
    • Plan and implement donor outreach strategy with Development Director.
    • Assist with mail campaigns including coordinating printing and mailing of appeal letters

Event Planning

  • Assist with planning and execution of fundraising events, including annual raffle and auction gala
    • Procure new and exciting auction items
    • Assist with venue, catering, AV, and auctioneer services
    • Ensure prompt processing and recognition of donations and raffle ticket sales
    • Assist with relationship development with local businesses, funders and sponsors.
    • Apply for and maintain annual raffle license with the State of Oregon

 Front Office

  • Serve as part of the front office team. Responsibilities in the front office include:
    • Be a “welcoming face” for the school for parents, children and visitors.
    • Provide backup to answer phones and assist staff, students and families.
    • Assist in opening the daily mail, logging checks and routing correspondence.
    • Maintain inventory of supplies and place orders for necessary items.
    • Provide administrative support to the Enrollment Coordinator as needed during peak times, ie. preparing staff/student directories, classroom rosters and family email lists.

Additional duties as requested by the Executive Director and the Development Director.

Physical Demands

Compensation

$38,000-$42,000 DOE, plus excellent benefits including health, dental, short and long-term disability, retirement and life insurance. The typical day is 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with some flexibility.
