Cindy is a philanthropic leader who brings over a decade of dedicated fundraising and strategic relationship expertise to the Tucker Maxon School.
A fourth-generation Oregonian who grew up on a cattle ranch, Cindy’s curiosity first led her to become a world traveler for 20 years; upon returning to Portland, she successfully transitioned her career focus from Architecture and Design into nonprofit fundraising. Cindy holds degrees from the University of Oregon, Parsons School of Design, and the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, complemented by a certificate in nonprofit fundraising from Portland State University.
Cindy has honed a diverse skill set through key roles, including Development Manager of Major Gifts at Morrison Child and Family Services and Development Director at the Architectural Heritage Center. Since dedicating her career to this field in 2014—and leading a multi-million-dollar capital campaign—she has earned a reputation for successful major gift cultivation and corporate partnership management. Her core philosophy centers on authentic connection, ensuring every contribution aligns with the donor’s philanthropic vision and the organization’s most critical needs. Cindy is dedicated to securing sustained funding to advance Tucker Maxon School’s vital work of empowering children with hearing loss.
When she is not viewing spreadsheets or planning an event, Cindy is likely working on her home, entertaining, cooking, gardening, sewing, paddleboarding, or researching about health and nutrition, and the many other subjects that inspire her curiosity.
