Paula is a first generation Mexican-American, raised on the beautiful California Coast. They moved to Portland for the first time in 2016, and returned in 2024. Portland is too special to stay away!

Paula began working in early childhood education in 2016, when they were a young undergrad attending Portland State University. Paula quickly fell in love with the work, enjoying the connections made with families and young children; and creating safe spaces for all.

When Paula isn’t at Tucker Maxon, you can find them at a local park chasing their toddler and giant dog; crafting, cooking, or strumming on the guitar.
