Rebecca GreenEducational Assistant

Rebecca got her first preschool job at 15 and has been enjoying working with children, teens and elders ever since. She has served in many schools with autistic, high-need, and mainstream kids, as well as in more eclectic roles such as soccer coach, piano teacher and children’s choir director.

Rebecca graduated from the University of Utah with a BS in psychology. She also studied at the Universidad Nacional in Mexico and at the Utah College of Massage Therapy, and spent an amazing year volunteering in Antofagasta, Chile. After starting a family, Rebecca began working with those at the other end of the age spectrum, eventually creating a small business providing activities for seniors with dementia. She found that the very young and the very old require the same approach: Meet them where they are! Provide an anchor, loving kindness, and lots of interesting experiences. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in teaching secondary biology.

Rebecca is thrilled to be at Tucker Maxon. When she’s not in the Ladybug classroom, you can find her adventuring in her campervan, spending time with her three grown-ish kids, watching baseball or hiking through Portland’s beautiful natural areas.
