Sondra’s daughter, Ella, began early intervention at Tucker Maxon in 2008 when she was 18 months old, after a sensorineural hearing loss diagnosis.  Since that time Sondra has done whatever she could for the School in many different ways.  From supporting fund-raiser’s, to painting and yard-work, as well as procuring items for the annual auction, and more.

Sondra grew up in central California, and attended college there.  In 1996 she was hired by one the largest regional airlines in the country, SkyWest Airlines, and spent the next 15 years as part of the In flight Management team, covering the Pacific Northwest Region all the way to Denver, Colorado.

In 2004 she settled down in Portland, married and began her Real Estate career. Today she is still busy assisting client’s achieve their goals through the buying and selling of property.

Sondra enjoys spending time working on her home in the Redland area of Oregon City, with her children, Ella and Ian, husband Robert, as well as many animals

Ella was eventually, and successfully mainstreamed to public school at the age of 10 yrs old,  and continues to do very well, all thanks to Tucker Maxon. “The impact of the Tucker Community will be felt for a lifetime,” Sondra said.

She looks forward to being a parent/board member that gets the school, and appreciates the need to keep it financially strong, part of the local and deaf community, and child focused.
