Sophie grew up in Portland attending Portland Public Schools. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Sociology from Beloit College in Wisconsin before returning to Portland.

Over the years she has supported children’s growth, curiosity, and creativity as a Playground Activity Assistant, a nanny, and a babysitter. Community building, artistic expression, American Sign Language, and effective communication and listening skills are some of her many interests.

Outside of work, she spends her time reading, writing, gardening, hiking with her partner, and connecting with friends and family.
